Okay, this is a fic I started awhile back when I was really bored one day at work. Yes, it's very bad and kind of Mary Sue-ish...

Harry opened the door to the Room of Requirement, wondering how Ron and Hermione beat him there.
He took two steps into the room before he realized it was not set up for the DA. One side of the room was nothing but windows, floor to ceiling, and the other side was all mirrors. The floor was lined with multicolored mats that looked as though they’d be good to fall on. Along the far wall stood three silent golems.
Thwap! Thwap! Thump! The sounds drew Harry’s attention to the far corner of the room where a punching bag hung.
“Er, hello?” he asked. A girl stepped out from behind the bag. She was wearing what looked to be white pajamas, tied at the waist with a brown cloth belt. Her blonde hair was tied back in a ponytail. Her blue eyes opened wide in surprise when she saw him.
“Oh, I’m sorry!” she said. “I didn’t realize I’d gone on so long.”
         “Uh, that’s okay. I’m a bit early, I think.”
“Oh, alright then. Do you mind if I do my cool down kata?” Harry had no idea what she was talking about. He had no idea anyone outside he, Hermione, and Ron knew about the Room of Requirement. He realized she was still waiting for an answer, and stammered out a reply.
“Uh, no, that’s – that’s fine. I’ll wait over here, if you don’t mind.” She gave him a brilliant smile, then took a position in front of the mirrored wall.
She bowed, took a fighting stance, and started to dance. It was the only word Harry could think of to describe her movements. She punched, kicked, ducked, whirled – to Harry’s eyes, it was a dance, even though he could almost see the people she fought. Gradually, her movements slowed, and she came to a rest at the exact spot from which she started. She bowed to the mirror again, then turned to look at him.
“Well, I’ll just be going, then,” she said, and Harry closed his mouth with a snap. He watched in silence as she slipped her school robe over her outfit and picked up her bag. Only then did he notice the ginger haired cat staring at him disdainfully from the far corner.
She picked the cat up, then turned back to Harry.
“Well, goodbye,” she said as she walked passed him and out the door.
“Good bye,” Harry said to her departing back, his brain only just catching up with his ears. His eyes, having seen her robes, had thrown his brain into shock. As she left, all he could think was, “A Hufflepuff?”

Also, I have a perennial soft spot for the underdog - Hufflepuff's always been looked down on, even though, hello, Hogwart's Tri-Wizard Champion was from Hufflepuff...

There's a few more pieces of this floating around, and I may post 'em, just for my own amusement.

I've always got a soft spot for the underdog. In my humble opinion, Hufflepuffs really run the world because no one else wants to do the dirty work. : )
